The holidays just wouldn't be complete without a gloriously indulgent chocolate treat. This Christmas, deck your halls and delight your guests with the ultimate tasty decoration - chocolate pretzel wreaths. Swirling with rich, melty wafer chocolate (chocolate disks) and studded with mini pretzel 'ornaments', these edible wreaths are as beautiful as they are delicious.
Line a baking sheet or card board or your counter top with parchment paper.
Add chocolate wafers in a microwave safe bowl. (1 color per bowl). Using the microwave heat the chocolate in 30 seconds intervals, stirring in between until chocolate melted. Please, note that the chocolate wafers will not melt unless you start stirring.
Dip pretzel into the chocolate, coating only the bottom half of the pretzel. Lay the pretzel on the parchment paper.
Repeat the same step for the second layer. Don't worry if the wreaths don't have a perfect circle shape. The chocolate will glue the pretzels together while the sprinkle will make them beautiful.
While the chocolate is still warm add sprinkles or candy toppings to your wreath. At this time, you can totally be creative. You may add mini M&M to make them look like berries on the wreaths. A star shaped marshmallow to keep it simple or make licorice bow to decorate.
Place the baking sheet in the fridge to chill for 10 minutes or leave them out on the counter to set. Store in treat bags, ziplocks, or airtight containers up to 2 weeks. Enjoy!
